Don't Rely on Hitting Blog Gold

The steps always seem to be:

  1. Hack something together as quickly as possible
  2. Write a detailed blog dissection of your experience so far with a link to said product
  3. Users will follow the link and sign up

How effective is this approach? Blogging isn’t free- writing a decent post takes a lot of time. It’s also high-risk. In most cases your post will get less than ten readers, and all that effort goes down the drain.
